Notice - First Year Classes start notice. The Department of First year engineering plays a vital role in an engineering college catering to the teaching of subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanics and Electrical in the minds of learners so that they can go forward in the rest of the years of their study with most recent knowledge, applicable skills and the energizing confidence. All of our faculty members hold post-graduate degrees from renowned institutes in their respective fields. It has well qualified faculty with eight faculty members hold PhD, and four faculty members are pursuing their PhD. Our faculty members are also involved in Research and Development activities and they have received research grants from Board for College and University Development (BCUD). Faculty members have published papers in National and International journals. Our staff members attend seminars and workshops to keep abreast of latest developments in the field. They also attend syllabus implementation and syllabus revision workshops and actively participate in University activities. Our classes are made interactive with the use of power point presentations, videos and demos. Students are encouraged to give seminars on latest developments on some of the topics being taught. Our department has well designed and fully equipped laboratories providing all the requirements as per syllabus. The teaching module comprises lectures, tutorials and practicals. The methodology adopted in the classroom teaching is based on application of innovative strategies, comprehensive lectures, regular assignments and interaction between teachers and students.
To groom Motivated, Environmental friendly, Self-esteemed, Creative and Oriented Mechanical Engineers.
To Develop Industry Oriented Manpower to accept the challenges of Globalization by,
The department is helping the students learn basic science courses, which lays the foundation for them to study the professional courses in their engineering program. The department is also helping the students to learn and enhance their communication and interpersonal skills and develop into a fine overall personality. As a result, the students are better prepared to face the interviews for in campus as well as off campus placements and also perform well in their professional life. Thus, the department creates a bridge between the basic sciences, humanities and engineering, a prerequisite for a good engineering programme.
The department has qualified and experienced faculty and also well-equipped laboratories. The laboratories are upgraded as per the needs/curriculum. The department conducts Orientation program and Induction Program for the newly admitted F.Y.B.E. students. The department (through the institute) also conducts diagnostic test for F.Y.B.E. students which helps the students to know their strengths and weaknesses so that they can work to overcome the weakness. Mentor Faculty and Counsellors are available to help the students if they are facing any problem.
